Salama Kassab is a former pharmacy student turned volunteer in a hospital in Homs during the Syrian revolution. Torn between love for her homeland and the need to escape, Salama is haunted by Khawf, a manifestation of her fear, as she navigates the dangers of war. With the constant threat of violence and the moral dilemmas that arise, Salama?s journey becomes a fight for survival. When she encounters a boy she was supposed to meet long ago, her resolve to leave is tested, forcing her to confront her feelings and the true nature of the revolution.
